Cambodia 🇰🇭

Siem Reap & Phnom Penh

Angkor Wat is a genuine once-in-a-lifetime sight — the largest religious monument on Earth emerging from jungle at sunrise. Cambodia is one of Southeast Asia's most affordable destinations with a growing food and culture scene. Phnom Penh balances difficult history with a vibrant riverfront café scene. Cambodian people are extraordinarily warm and welcoming.

With kids

Older kids (10+) are amazed by Angkor's scale. Rent a tuk-tuk to move between temples. Kids enjoy the floating villages. Keep hydrated — Cambodia is hot year-round. Stick to bottled water and hotel restaurant food.

With seniors

Temples involve significant walking on uneven stone — comfortable footwear essential. Some steps are steep. Consider a private tuk-tuk for the day (USD 15–25). Early morning visits (5–8am) avoid the heat. Phnom Penh has better-quality restaurants and hotels.
